Children's aid societies in Ontario are mandated by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services to provide child protection services under the Child and Family Services Act.[1] Children's aid societies are responsible for investigating allegations of abuse or neglect involving children under the age of 16.[1] They also support families, look after children and youth in care, and place children and youth in adoptive homes.[2]
